For each organisation, UGSO covers support for up to two deafblind participants and two accompanying interpreters or intervenors.
Meals and joint dinner
Meals during the hosted stay and the joint dinner after the race are covered for registered participants and support people.
Local transport
Transport required within Varaždin during the programme is organised and paid for by UGSO Varaždin.
Travel to Varaždin
Participants and organisations arrange and pay for travel to and from Varaždin, additional nights and personal expenses.

A walking race in the heart of Varaždin
This is a 500-metre walking race for deafblind people. Each participant walks with an interpreter, intervenor or assistant and remains with that person throughout the route. Running is not permitted.

Register the deafblind participant online
Use the official race registration system. Register each deafblind participant by 31 July 2026. The accompanying support person is reported separately by email and does not pay the entry fee.

Who may participate?
The event is for deafblind people. Every participant must take part with an interpreter, intervenor or assistant and remain with that person throughout the route.
Is this a running race?
No. This is a walking race. Running is strictly prohibited.
What does UGSO cover?
Per organisation, UGSO covers two hotel nights, meals and local Varaždin transport for up to two deafblind participants and two accompanying interpreters/intervenors.
What must the organisation or participant pay?
Travel to and from Varaždin, personal expenses, additional nights and any people beyond the covered organisational allocation. The race fee is €30 for each registered deafblind participant.
Does the interpreter or intervenor register and pay?
No. Only the deafblind participant registers in the official race system and pays the €30 entry fee. The organisation must email UGSO with the accompanying person's name and dietary requirements.
What is the deadline?
31 July 2026 is the final deadline for registration and hosted accommodation. Because hotel capacity is limited, earlier registration is strongly recommended.
